Diabetes Symptoms
The symptoms of diabetes are fairly specific and are easy to diagnose if they are part of a diabetic condition. Diabetes is characterized in its symptoms which include excessive appetite and thirst, pronounced weight gain or loss, frequent urination of up to once per hour, vomiting and nausea, fatigue, obstructed or blurred vision, vaginal and yeast infections in women, cuts and sores that are slow to heal, dry mouth, and irritability as well as itchiness in the groin or vaginal areas.
If the patient is diabetic and feels sick and nauseated, fatigued or weak, thirsty and are urinating frequently, are experiencing pain in the abdomen or are breathing rapidly as well as smell a peculiar smell in your mouth that smells like nail polish remover then you may be experiencing a diabetic attack. This medical condition is called ketoacidosis and can be deadly if left untreated.
If the patient that develop cases of diabetic ketoacidosis experience what is known as an extreme case of metabolic reregulation which is characterized by the smell of nail polish remover in the patients mouth as well as Kussmaul breathing – rabid, deep breathing which is often a sign of a diabetic attack. Another state of diabetic problems is a hyperosmolar nonketotic state in which the severe level of dehydration in the patient forced the patient to drink large amounts of beverages that are high in sugar which may also force water or fluid loss.
